In this technological age where AI pervades everything from imagery to fake news and customer service (“Your call is important to us…”), I just want to be in the Human Support field of work.
There is information. Computation. Comparison. Projection. And all kinds of ginormous calculations.
And it seems that we are rather well served by technology most of the time … (though go ahead and try translating colloquialisms on an app! 🙂
But when it comes to growing oneself and learning to be more mature, more loving, more compassionate, more at peace, to relate more, or to become more emotionally responsible, more self-aware… to thrive more… That’s where AI falls short and the presence of another human being still remains irreplaceable.
And also incredibly life changing when this human support is consistent, conscious and purposeful.
Coaching can be a lot of things and even if, as an exponentionally growing unregulated profession, it may at times be disappointing, it usually can help us grow and and engage in a better way with our calling, with others and with the core of our true nature, which influences positively our whole existence on a daily basis!
My experience on the receiving end of coaching, is that when I have someone in my corner, professionally and lovingly engaged in the process of supporting my growth and my progress, the results in my life are simply amazing.
When I look back at what used to be my life and what turns I was able to take and how I emerged out of each transformation period, I can’t help but smile.
If I had not got the support, if I had not invested my time, my focus and my money (scary amounts sometimes!) into the sacred work of growing myself up and out of old patterns … today I would live the existence that was in front of me, by default: emotional turmoil, painful relationships, self-sabotage, on and off depression, substance abuse, small burst of joy and lots of anger at what felt like a disappointing world and a rudderless life.
But I broke the spell. I am so glad I did!
I got to to heal the way I treated myself, to learn and love myself, to create my own art gallery in California where I was an immigrant, to become a coach myself, to marry my best friend, to travel the world, to make tons of art and lots of meaningful encounters and over all to be happy from the inside out…
Human Support. So simple. So precious.
No bling. No fuss. No salepitch necessary.
Just being there and giving genuine attention; loving, compassionate awareness. Willingness to help someone else climb their own ladder of happiness.
No judgement, no blame.
Using one’s own experience, tools, skills and integrity to support someone’s growth.
It’s called Life Coaching.
It changed my life and I saw it change my clients’ lives as well, again and again.
It’s a Human Support thing.
Nothing like it.
